Company unveils innovative double suction vertical pumps and circulating water pumps

Nov. 12, 2013, ORLANDO, Fla. – ITT’s comprehensive lines of Goulds Pumps, Engineered Valves and Monitoring & Controls equipment designed for the power industry are spotlighted at the 25 ^th annual Power-Gen International Show Nov. 12-14 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

Significant product innovation introductions at the show include ITT Goulds Pumps’ brand Double Suction Vertical Pumps – five models that can be customized to conform to power market project specifications. Patented design features enable each model of the VIDS (Vertical Industrial Double Suction) line to provide superior operation over extended lifecycles, highly desirable low-NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head) performance, a comprehensive range of hydraulic fits and the capability to process high levels of suspended solids.

Also featured at Power-Gen are Goulds Pumps’ Vertical Circulating Water Pumps (Model VCW), which provide superior reliability, performance and versatility in power applications. A patented “O” head design delivers consistent flow and eliminates potential resonance frequencies through comprehensive finite element analysis. Optional wear rings on the impeller and diffuser/suction bell reduce downtime and costly repairs. An innovative “pull-out” design option allows easy removal of the pumps’ inner element, simplifying maintenance by eliminating the need to drain or enter the pump. 

ITT’s Engineered Valves product line-up for the power industry includes pulverizer/coal burner isolation valves, burner and igniter safety shutoff valves, slurry valves, flue gas desulphurization (FGD) valves, and diaphragm and ball valves certified to comply with nuclear power plant standards.
