ITT Highlights New UltraLOC™ Seat Recline Technology and Market-Leading Fluid and Motion Control Solutions at Aircraft Interiors Expo 2024

STAMFORD, Conn. – May 13, 2024 – ITT Inc.’s (NYSE: ITT) Enidine brand will debut its Head Injury Criterion (HIC) damper technology and highly engineered UltraLOC™ seat recline technologies at the 2024 Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) from May 28-30 in Hamburg, Germany.

ITT Aerospace Controls environmental control system and motion control components will also be on display in Hall 7 at booth #A29. These innovative products enhance performance and increase safety while ensuring a more comfortable flight experience for passengers and crew.

As aircraft manufacturers continue to seek innovative, lightweight, and cost-effective components, ITT is committed to meeting this ever-changing demand. At AIX, Enidine will showcase its UltraLOC™ line with an HIC damper, which combines energy absorption technology into a compact energy absorber located on the seat lock shaft. The solution can reliably resist forces up to 2,000 pounds and is customizable for integration on various seat lock designs.

Also at AIX, Enidine will debut its customizable UltraLOC™ seat recline buttons, created to offer flexible configurations for modern aircraft seat designs. These innovations include new LED backlighting options, which ensure that reclining is easily accessible during overnight or dimly lit flights. Formerly available in a single standard round design, seat recline buttons are now available in mini-round or rectangular designs while maintaining their lightweight structure. Laser etching and a variety of color options allow for enhanced aircraft operator branding on select designs.

“Our team is consistently seeking ways to elevate our product lines to solve the evolving needs and challenges of our customers in the aviation industry,” said William Wilk, Executive Director of Sales, ITT Connect and Control Technologies, Aerospace. “Like all our innovative products, the new additions to the UltraLOC™ product line are rooted in safety, durability and convenience for passengers and crew alike. We’re pleased that AIX attendees from around the world will get an exciting first look at both our new and market-leading technologies.”

Additional solutions to be featured at this year’s show include:

  • ITT Aerospace Controls will highlight its cutting-edge portfolio of environmental control systems and motion control product technologies. Attendees can view its line of heaters, conveyance, ducting, hoses, composites, switches, actuators, pumps and valves – all of which support the reliability and safety of commercial, business and civil aircraft.
  • In addition to its UltraLOC™ line, Enidine will showcase additional motion and noise control technologies, including its drop-down stowage bin dual force rate controls, stow bin actuators, rotary hinge dampers, elastomeric rod ends and panel isolators. These aircraft interior products offer customizability, long service life, reliable performance, and reduced cost-of-ownership for operators, along with ease of installation and maintenance.
